Sur Citra is een single hop sour mash pale ale, waarbij de aromatische citrusnoten op de voorgrond treden van dit bier met een zure, heldere basis. Dit is de eerste versie uit de nieuwe brouwerij in To Øl City.
That bright citrus aroma hits you right as you pour, and the tartness stays sharp without turning harsh or sour like some sours do. Grabbed a six-pack for a weekend cookout and it cut through the heat perfectly. Definitely grabbing more before this batch is gone.
The sour mash gives it a tart bite that cuts through the heavy ABV, and the single hop really keeps those citrus notes clean instead of muddled. Cracked one open after mowing the lawn and it was gone in ten minutes. Solid first run from the new brewhouse.
The sourness is perfectly balanced with that bright, tart base—it’s sharp enough to wake up your palate but finishes clean. As a single hop pale ale, the citrus notes really do take center stage, like a fresh squeeze of lemonade in beer form.
