Dies ist unsere Hommage an das fruchtige dänische Dessert (und gleichzeitig den berühmten, unmöglichen dänischen Zungenbrecher), hergestellt mit Himbeeren, Erdbeeren, schwarzen Johannisbeeren, roten Johannisbeeren, Vanille und Laktose.
Schwer auszusprechen, aber zum Glück viel leichter zu trinken.
The berry blend is dead-on—tart currants up front with that soft vanilla rounding it all out. Sipping it cold, it genuinely tastes like the dessert, and the lacto adds a subtle tang that keeps it from being too sweet.
I wasn't sure how the lacto would play with all that fruit, but it's brilliantly tart and creamy at once. The blackcurrants really come through on the finish, and it drinks much lighter than the dessert it's named after.
It poured a deep ruby with a soft pink foam, and the vanilla really rounds out all that tart berry character without making it sweet. I had to try saying the name three times before I just gave up and enjoyed the glass, which went down way too fast on a warm evening.
