Oh my. Our sweet lady of Guadalupe would be proud of this smooth and silky something we’ve got going on right here. Cinnamon, chocolate, and chili peppers swirled together in a dark, rich stout for the most comforting, delicious, and downright decadent version of a Mexican hot chocolate you ever laid your hands.
The chili heat creeps in right at the end, but that dark stout base keeps everything smooth and silky. I had one after dinner and the cinnamon-chocolate combo is dangerously drinkable for a beer.
The cinnamon hits first, then the chocolate melts into that dark stout base with the chili just warming things up on the finish. It’s got the right kind of silky mouthfeel for a cold evening, exactly what I was hoping for.
