A Belgian blonde ale with distinctive flavors of clove and banana from the yeast, coriander and sumac, which are added in the brewhouse, and a hint of color/sweetness from some Munich malt. It uses German noble hops for a hint of spiciness.
The banana and clove from the yeast really come through on the nose, and that Munich malt sweetness balances the dry finish perfectly. I bought a few bottles for a quiet evening and ended up finishing two before dinner.
The coriander and sumac give it a nice citrusy twist that I didn't expect from a blonde ale, and the Munich malt rounds out the sweetness perfectly. Poured a lovely hazy gold with a creamy head that lingered, and it tasted even better as it warmed up.
The banana and clove from the yeast really come through smooth, and the Munich malt adds just enough sweetness to balance the coriander. Poured it for a friend who usually hates Belgian beers, and even he went back for a second glass.
