Notes parfumées de vanille, de fudge au chocolat caramélisé et de fruits cuits. En bouche, des saveurs de vanille douce, de raisins macérés au cognac et de fudge au chocolat caramélisé.

Comme son nom l'indique, ce rhum a été finalement élevé dans d'anciens fûts de bière de la célèbre Vanilla Shake de Mikkeller, dont les barriques exhalent des notes de vanille, de café et de malt issues du vieillissement de la bière. Auparavant, ce rhum à base de mélasse a été vieilli dans d'anciens fûts de bourbon sous le climat tropical du Guatemala.
