La Trappist Westvleteren 12 es una cerveza oscura con una espuma blanca muy densa. Notas de frutas oscuras ácidas, pasas, dulzor a caramelo, alcohol cálido, tabaco y cuero. Se elabora en la mundialmente famosa Abadía Trapense de Sint-Sixtus en Westvleteren y tiene un ABV del 10,2%.
Esta cerveza está considerada «la mejor cerveza del mundo».
