Esta cerveza tiene sus orígenes en nuestro brewpub de Copenhague. Se ha añejado en uno de los dos foeders de roble francés que ahora existen en To Øl City. Se elaboró un mosto oscuro en 2020 y se fermentó junto con una cantidad significativa de cerveza que se había elaborado allá por 2018.
Inspirada y reminiscente de las Oud Bruin y las Flanders red ales de Bélgica.
Opened it on a quiet Friday night and the depth from that 2020 dark wort really shows—it's bold but somehow smooth. The French oak aging gives it a warmth that lingers nicely after each sip.
The wait was worth it—that French oak aging really shows in the finish, smooth and layered without being heavy. Dark wort from 2020 gives it a richness that feels more like a special occasion pour than a casual one.
Two years in that French oak did something special—there’s a smooth, almost vanilla-like roundness that you don’t get from standard barrel-aging. Dark and rich, it drinks dangerously easy for something brewed back in 2020. I’m already hunting for another bottle.
