When our head brewer Rune gets obsessed with efficiency, beautiful things happen. This 2025 Malt Stars creation proves efficiency can be delicious. Shortened boils, energy-smart kveik yeast, and zero-waste brewing meet Krush and Idaho 7 hops for serious tropical chaos.
That kveik yeast really does something special here — the hop character stays bright and juicy without any harsh bite, and it drinks way smoother than the 6.8% suggests. The shorter boil obviously didn't cost it any depth, either.
The short boil keeps things surprisingly bright and crisp—no harsh bitterness at the tail end. Took a chance on the kveik fermentation and it’s got that clean, almost citrusy finish that makes a second can too easy to open.
The kveik yeast really shines here—it’s got that clean, slightly fruity kick without any of the harsh bite I usually expect from a quick-brewed IPA. You can tell the shortened boil didn’t sacrifice anything; it’s smooth and dangerously easy to drink.
