Geurtonen van vanille, karamel-chocoladefudge en gebakken fruit. Smaaktonen van zoete vanille, in cognac gemarineerde rozijnen en karamel-chocoladefudge.

Zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, is de rum uiteindelijk opgeslagen op gebruikte bierfusten van Mikkeller's populaire bier, Vanilla Shake, waarvan de vaten vanille-, koffie- en mouttonen uit de opslagtijd van het bier afgeven. Eerder is de op melasse gebaseerde rum gerijpt op gebruikte bourbonvaten in het tropische klimaat van Guatemala.
