Trappist Westvleteren 12 là một loại bia đen với lớp bọt trắng rất mịn. Vị trái cây sẫm màu chua nhẹ, nho khô, vị ngọt caramel, hơi ấm của cồn, thuốc lá và da thuộc. Bia được ủ tại tu viện nổi tiếng thế giới Trappist Abbey of Sint-Sixtus ở Westvleteren và có nồng độ cồn 10,2%.
