La 3ᵉ de notre série de quadruples IPA géantes. Celle-ci met à l'honneur les houblons Citra et Amarillo en brasserie, avec un triple dry-hop d'Amarillo et d'Ekuanot en cave. C'est aussi l'occasion pour nous de tester une nouvelle souche de levure. Tropicale et délicieuse !
Remarque : Erreur sur l'étiquette ; cette bière est une Quadruple IPA et non une Triple IPA comme indiqué sur l'étiquette !
The bitterness is sharp but balanced by that juicy Citra finish, and the double dry hop really comes through on the nose. Poured a hazy gold and disappeared from my glass way too fast for a quadruple.
The triple dry hop of Amarillo and Ekuanot comes through loud and clear—it's a resinous, juicy wallop. I cracked one after mowing the lawn and the grapefruit-pine finish hit exactly right. This one's worth the sticker price.
The Citra and Amarillo combo in the brewhouse gives it that sticky, resinous nose, and the triple dry hop really pushes the Ekuanot’s tropical punch to the front. It’s dangerously smooth for a quadruple, so I’ve got to pace myself or the 9% sneaks up fast.
