Notas aromáticas de vainilla, caramelo con chocolate y fruta horneada. Sabores de vainilla dulce, pasas maceradas en coñac y caramelo con chocolate.

Como su nombre indica, el ron se ha añejado finalmente en barricas de cerveza usadas de la popular cerveza Vanilla Shake de Mikkeller, cuyos toneles aportan notas de vainilla, café y malta del tiempo de almacenamiento de la cerveza. Anteriormente, el ron de melaza se había añejado en barricas de bourbon usadas en el clima tropical de Guatemala.
