The barrel aging does exactly what it should here—that bourbon warmth wraps around the coffee and vanilla without ever turning boozy. I poured it after dinner and the hazelnut lingered on the finish for a good ten minutes. Thick, slow, and dangerously easy to sip for something this strong.

The hazelnut and cacao really come through as it warms, and the bourbon barrel adds a smooth warmth without being boozy on the nose. A dessert in a glass for sure, the vanilla and coffee make it dangerously easy to sip.

Poured this one after dinner and the hazelnut and coffee hit upfront, with the bourbon warmth lingering on the finish. The cacao nibs keep it from getting too sweet, which I appreciate for an imperial stout. Glad I grabbed a bottle to cellar.
